Carmel Mission
It’s 2009, my cousin Joan’s visiting and we drove to Monterey and Carmel. While there, decided to go to the Carmel Mission to say a prayer for her sister Jean because she’s going thru some health issues, and our friend Walter, and of course to pray for Stan for a full recovery.
We were in the gift shop and we each bought several items. We left and took some pictures outside and then I said wait, we have to say a prayer and I started to bless myself in the parking lot. She looks at me like I’m nuts – aren’t we going inside the Mission? No, they charge you now to go inside and we’ve seen it many times all we want to do is say a prayer. We just spent about $50, why do we need to spend more when we can pray here. God can hear us whether we’re on this side of the wall or the other. So she too blessed herself…we prayed and off we went.
